What is the best way to get started? Which cleanse should I do?

The best way to get started is to schedule a complimentary consultation, in-person or by phone, with one of our Cleansing Coaches or in-store Ambassadors— we are always available to answer your questions. Our Cleansing Coaches and Ambassadors are experts in cleansing and nutrition, and they are ready to serve you.

I’ve never done a cleanse before, is it ok to start with just one day cleanse?

Absolutely! A one day cleanse is an excellent starting point and a great way to experience the benefits of cleansing. In the transition from the traditional American lifestyle (processed foods and alcohol) to a more healthy lifestyle (cold pressed juice and cleansing), our Cleansing Coaches often recommend starting with a one day cleanse, allowing your body to acclimate to cold pressed juicing and cleansing.

I don’t know if I can get through the day without solid food. What should I do?

Fear not! If you are having difficulty getting through the cleanse without eating, here are two alternatives:

  1. Try our Juice, Eat, & Repeat Cleanse: This cleanse is perfectly designed to acclimate your body to cleansing. It includes four cold pressed juices per day and allows for a healthy meal in the evening. This cleanse can be done for 3 to 7 days to build up your cleansing tolerance while maximizing and enhancing your body’s digestive process. Juicing all day alkalizes your body on the cellular level, while a healthy meal near the end of the day gives your body time to digest during its most powerful time–sleep.
  2. Cleanse Snacks: If you are having trouble going without solid food while doing a juice cleanse, you can have a handful of raw almonds or a few slices of green apple. These healthy cleanse snacks will not interfere with your cleanse and will help you get through the day without breaking your cleanse.

Is it OK to workout while cleansing?

Light exercise during a cleanse is recommended to aid the detox process and increase blood circulation. Building up a light sweat while training will help remove toxins from your body. Our Cleansing Coaches recommend light forms of cardio, yoga, swimming, stretching and rebounding on a trampoline.

What else can I do to get the most out of cleansing?

Sweating in a sauna or taking a hot salt bath greatly help the cleansing process by helping to eliminate toxins. Dry skin brushing helps exfoliate the skin, your body’s largest organ, which further assists in the removal of toxins.

How much weight can I expect to lose during a cleanse?

Weight loss during a cleanse varies based on the individual—some people who are transitioning from a highly processed and low nutrient diet may lose a pound a day, while those who are thin and eat plenty of nutrient-rich foods may not lose any weight.

Although many do experience weight loss from a cleanse, our Cleansing Coaches aim to shift the focus of a cleanse to the goal of getting healthy and alkaline while increasing energy and vitality.

How will I feel while cleansing?

How you feel depends on your current level of nutrition and lifestyle. Some feel great from the start while for others the detoxing effects can sometimes get worse before getting better. If you regularly drink coffee you may suffer from withdrawal symptoms and get a headache. Drinking your body weight in ounces of water daily will help to flush out toxins, keep you hydrated and minimize withdrawal symptoms.

Is it OK to cleanse while I'm pregnant?

Pregnancy is not the time to make extreme changes in lifestyle or nutrition. If you're currently eating a high percentage of processed foods and sugars, consider a gentle shift—integrating fresh fruits, green vegetables and pure juices into your nutrition plan. Cleansing Coaches recommend checking with your doctor before changing your dietary regime.

Elimination

I haven't gone to the bathroom at all since I started my cleanse, what should I do?

This can certainly be uncomfortable but not unusual. Bowel movement can typically slow down during a cleanse, so we suggest keeping things moving by drinking your body weight in ounces of water each day. While cleansing, a gravity-fed colonic can greatly enhance your digestive system and elimination.

Why is it important to eliminate during a cleanse?

It's actually important for you to eliminate two to three times per day, yet most of us do not. Improper elimination affects your ability to produce healthy blood, absorb nutrients and water, and eliminate waste.

The Alkaline Diet

Is an alkaline cleanse the most effective kind?

Yes. Disease thrives in an acidic state and alkalinity promotes a state of health. Consuming raw fruits and leafy green vegetables, drinking pure water and cleansing with raw live cold pressed juices, the body becomes more alkaline. Much of the standard American diet and lifestyle create acid in the body—including dairy, coffee, soda, alcohol, sugar, environmental pollutants and stress. According to some nutrition experts, most diseases are caused by the blood becoming too acidic. An alkaline cleanse is the only kind that will help reset your pH level to allow you to thrive on a cellular level.

Are all Liquiteria cleanses alkaline?

Absolutely. All Liquiteria cleanses are designed to bring your body into an alkaline state.
